The Ithaca College softball team defeated Cornell University by a score of 6-2.
The game was scoreless until the Big Red got one run on the board in the fourth inning. In the fifth inning, the Bombers scored all six of their runs to take a 6-1 lead. Cornell's last run came in the sixth inning.
Sophomore Jeanine Bleau went 2-for-4 with one RBI and freshman Ellen Mullin went 2-for-3 with one run scored. Junior Susan Reid, as well as freshmen Nicki Swan and Tracy Welliver, each had one RBI.
Swan only allowed five hits through seven innings and recorded 10 strikeouts in the win.
