Ithaca vs Buffalo State, 1994

The Ithaca College softball team split its doubleheader against Buffalo State, losing the first game 8-3, but winning the second game 9-6. 
 
Game 1 | Buffalo State 8, Ithaca 3
 
Both teams scored in the first inning to tie the game at 2-2. Buffalo State added one run in the third inning to take the lead throughout the sixth inning. Ithaca scored one run in the sixth inning to tie the game at 3, but the Bengals tallied five runs in the sixth inning to take the 8-3 lead. 
 
Junior Susan Reid went 2-for-3 off two doubles to finish with an RBI and sophomore Marie Kelly went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Sophomore Jennifer Blum went 1-for-3 with one RBI in the game. 
 
Freshman Nicki Swan gave up seven hits and recorded three strikeouts. She is now 12-5 on the season. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 9, Buffalo State 6
 
Ithaca scored first in the top of the first inning, and the Bengals took the lead in the bottom of the second inning. The Bombers tallied two runs in the second inning to regain the lead and added one run in the third inning. Ithaca scored four runs in the fourth inning and one additional run in the fifth inning. Buffalo State scored its last four runs in the seventh inning. 
 
Reid hit a three-run double during the contest as she finished the game going 1-for-4. Sophomore Jennifer Hoselton hit a two-run triple as she finished the day going 1-for-3. 
 
Freshman Tracy Welliver gave up nine hits and struck out four batters in her second win of the season.
