Ithaca vs RIT, 1995

The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against the Rochester Institute of Technology, winning the first game 14-3 and the second game 11-1. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 14, RIT 3
 
Ithaca scored an impressive six runs in the top of the first inning to take an early lead. The Tigers scored their first two runs in the bottom half of the inning. 
 
RIT added one more run in the bottom of the third, but Ithaca scored four runs in each of the fourth and sixth innings to take the 14-3 lead. 
 
Sophomore Nicki Swan went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored and sophomore Mary Ellen Hoffman went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Senior Susan Reid went 2-for-5 with two RBI and sophomore Marie Kelly went 1-for-5 with two RBI.
 
Swan only allowed four hits and had three strikeouts in the win. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 11, RIT 1
 
Ithaca scored four runs in each of the first and second innings to take an early 8-0 lead. The Tigers scored their lone run in the bottom of the second inning. 
 
The Bombers tacked on one additional run in the top of the third inning and added two runs in the top of the fourth inning. 
 
Freshman Kathy Nadler went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Swan went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Senior Susan Reid went 2-for-3 with one RBI. 
 
Reid pitched a two-hitter and had four strikeouts in the win.
