Ithaca vs Eastern Connecticut State, 1995

The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against Eastern Connecticut State University, winning the first game 5-0 and the second game 5-3. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 5, ECSU 0
 
The Bombers scored one run in the top of the first inning and added three runs in the top of the third inning to take a 4-0 lead. Ithaca tacked on one additional run in the top of the fifth inning. 
 
Freshman Amy McMordie went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double and sophomore Marie Kelly went 1-for-1 with one RBI and two runs scored. Junior Jennifer Blum went 1-for-3 with one RBI. 
 
Sophomore Nicki Swan allowed five hits and struck out one batter in the shutout victory.
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 5, ECSU 3
 
The Bombers and Warriors each scored one run in the second inning, but Ithaca scored two runs in each of the third and fourth innings to take a 5-1 lead. ECSU tried to start a comeback, but could only score two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
 
Sophomores Marie Kelly and Tracy Welliver each went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Senior Chris Pettograsso and junior Jennifer Hoselton both went 1-for-3 with one RBI. 
 
Senior Susan Reid picked up her second win of the season as she allowed six hits and struck out three batters in six innings pitched.
