The Ithaca College softball team defeated SUNY Cortland for the second time this season, defeating the Red Dragons 1-0 in eight innings. 
 
The game was tied 0-0 headed into the eighth inning. The winning run came from sophomore Tracey Welliver's solo home run in the top of the eighth inning. She finished the day going 1-for-3 with one RBI. 
 
Sophomore Meg Steere went 2-for-2 with a double and senior Chris Pettograsso went 1-for-3 on the day. 
 
Sophomore Nicki Swan pitched a two-hitter and struck out seven batters in her seventh win of the season.
