The Ithaca College softball team defeated Western Connecticut State University by a score of 6-5.
Ithaca scored first in the bottom of the second inning and WCSU tied the game in the top of the third inning. The Bombers scored one run in the bottom of the third to take a 2-1 lead. WCSU took the lead with two runs scored in the top of the fifth.
The Bombers exploded for four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 6-3 lead and WCSU scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning.
Sophomore Amy McMordie went 2-for-4 with two RBI and senior Jennifer Blum went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI. Freshman Julie McGraw added an RBI as well.
Junior Nicki Swan gave up 10 hits and struck out four batters. She is now 16-7 on the season.
