The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against the Rochester Institute of Technology, winning the first game 12-0 in five innings and the second game by a score of 6-4.

The Bombers went up 2-0 after the first inning and then scored an incredible nine runs in the bottom of the third inning. Ithaca tacked on one final run in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Freshman Julie McGraw hit a three-run double and sophomore Amy McMordie hit a two-run single. Junior Mary Ellen Hoffman went 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Junior Nicki Swan pitched a two-hitter and recorded four strikeouts in the win.
Game 2 | Ithaca 6, RIT 4
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning and the Bombers tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third inning when McGraw grounded out with the bases loaded to score freshman Cheryl Wah.
The Bombers scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, which was highlighted by junior Mary Ellen Hoffman's two-run double. RIT scored three more runs in the top of the fifth inning.
McGraw finished the game going 1-for-4 with two RBI. Hoffman went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored.
Freshman Allie Ello picked up her first career win as she pitched 4.2 innings and allowed four hits.
