The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against Buffalo State, winning the first game 4-0 and the second game 11-3 in six innings. With both wins, Ithaca is now 13-6 on the season.

The Bombers scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning, which was highlighted by junior Marie Kelly's two-run single. Ithaca then added one more run in the bottom of the sixth inning.Â

Kelly went 1-for-3 with two RBI, and sophomore Amy McMordie and junior Tracy Welliver each had one hit and one RBI.Â

Junior Nicki Swan pitched a two-hitter and had three strikeouts in the win. She is now 8-5 on the season.Â

Game 2 | Ithaca 11, Buffalo State 3

Ithaca scored an impressive five runs in the bottom of the first inning which was highlighted by senior Jennifer Blum's bases-loaded double. Buffalo State cut the lead to 5-3 in the second inning. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Bombers added three runs to extend the lead to 8-3. Ithaca then added two more runs in the fifth inning and one final run in the bottom of the sixth.Â

Blum finished the day going 1-for-3 with three RBI and Kelly went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Freshman Cheryl Wah went 2-for-2 with one RBI and two runs scored.Â

Swan picked up her ninth win of the season as she only allowed two hits and struck out four batters in the win.Â
