The Ithaca College softball team fell to Wheaton College in its first game of the Cortland/Ithaca Tournament by a score of 6-1.
Wheaton jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the fifth inning. In the bottom of the fifth, the Bombers scored their lone run of the contest. Wheaton added one more run in the sixth and seventh innings to extend the lead to 6-1.
Sophomore Julie McGraw went 2-for-3 on the day with the sole RBI. Junior Amy McMordie went 2-for-3 during the contest.
Senior Nicki Swan allowed 10 hits and struck out seven batters. She is now 8-8 on the season.
