The Ithaca College softball team split its doubleheader against the Rochester Institute of Technology, winning the first game 1-0 but losing the second game 2-1.

The game was scoreless until the Bombers scored their lone run in the top of the seventh. Senior Nicki Swan doubled in the top of the seventh and then scored later in the inning off freshman Vanessa Montorsi's sacrifice fly.
Montorsi finished the day going 1-for-2 with the one RBI and sophomore Julie McGraw went 2-for-3.
Swan pitched a three-hitter and struck out nine batters in the win.
Game 2 | RIT 2, Ithaca 1
The Tigers scored both their runs in the bottom of the third to take a 2-0 lead. Ithaca's lone run of the contest came in the top of the sixth inning. Ithaca outhit RIT 9-1 throughout the second game.
Freshman Janine Lawler went 1-for-3 with one RBI and McGraw went 2-for-3 during the second game.
Freshman Robin Bmson pitched a one-hitter and struck out two batters in 4.0 innings pitched. With the loss, Ithaca's five-game winning streak has been snapped. They are now 23-13 on the season.
