Ithaca vs Elmira, NYSWCCAA Playoffs, 1997

The Ithaca College softball team defeated Elmira College in the semifinals of the NYSWCAA semifinals, winning the contest 3-1. 
 
Ithaca scored one run in the first and second innings to take an early 2-0 lead. The Bombers added one run in the fifth inning and Elmira scored one run in the top of the seventh.
 
Sophomore Julie McGraw went 2-for-3 with one RBI and junior Amy McMordie went 1-for-3 with one RBI. 
 
Senior Nicki Swan only allowed three hits and struck out three batters. She is now 15-8 on the season. The Bombers will face Binghamton University in the NYSWCAA championship game.
