The Ithaca College softball team defeated SUNY Cortland 4-3 in the Kean/Montclair Tournament. With the win, the Bombers are now 10-5 on the season.
The Bombers were down 3-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh as sophomore Cheryl Wah hit a two-run double to secure the 4-3 victory.
Cortland scored one run in the top of the first and Ithaca tied the game 1-1 in the bottom of the first inning. The Red Dragons added two runs in the top of the fifth to take a 3-1 lead, but Ithaca cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth.
Wah went 2-for-4 on the day with two RBI and senior Nicki Swan went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Swan allowed nine hits and had a season-high 10 strikeouts as she is now 5-4 on the season.
