The Ithaca College softball team fell to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the first round of the NYSWCAA Playoffs by a score of 2-1. 
 
Ithaca scored one run in the bottom of the fifth inning, but eighth-seeded RPI rallied to score two runs in the top of the sixth inning to defeat the top-seeded Bombers. 
 
Sophomore Vanessa Montorsi went 1-for-4 with one RBI and junior Cheryl Wah went 2-for-3 during the contest. 
 
Sophomore Robin Bimson pitched six innings and struck out two batters.
