The Ithaca College softball team opened the season with a win against Rowan University, winning the game 3-2. 
 
The game was tied entering the bottom of the sixth inning at 2-2. Junior Cheryl Wah was hit by a pitch and then senior Amy McMordie doubled to score Wah for Ithaca to take the 3-2 lead. 
 
The Bombers took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning as junior Julie McGraw hit a two-run double. Rowan tied the game in the top of the sixth with a two-run single. 
 
McGraw went 1-for-3 with two RBI and Wah went 2-for-2. Sophomore Robin Bimson pitched all six innings and allowed six hits with four strikeouts
