The Ithaca College softball team defeated Elmira College in the fifth-place game of the NYSWCAA Playoffs, defeating Elmira 3-2. 
 
Elmira scored one run in the first and third innings to take a 2-0 lead. The Bombers scored one run in the fourth and then two runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the 3-2 lead. 
 
Ithaca's lone RBI came from freshman Laura Remia, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Senior Margo McGowan went 2-for-3 during the contest. 
 
Sophomore Robin Bimson only allowed four hits and struck out one batter during the game.
