Ithaca vs Elmira, 1998

The Ithaca College softball team split its doubleheader with Elmira College, winning the first game 7-2 but losing the second game 10-3. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 7, Elmira 2
 
The Bombers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and added one more run in the bottom of the third. Ithaca scored three more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Both of Elmira's runs came in the top of the second. 
 
Junior Cheryl Wah went 3-for-4 with three RBI with a two-run triple in the fourth inning. Junior Julie McGraw and freshmen Nicole Fava and Laura Remia added RBIs as well. 
 
Sophomore Robin Bimson pitched the full game and only allowed seven hits while striking out four. She is now 7-2 on the season. 
 
Game 2 | Elmira 10, Ithaca 3
 
The game was tied 1-1 headed into the third inning when the Soaring Eagles added two runs in the third inning, along with an impressive four runs in the top of the fourth. Ithaca cut the lead to 7-2 with one run in the fifth, but Elmira tacked on one run in the sixth and two runs in the seventh inning. Ithaca's last run came in the bottom of the sixth. 
 
Wah hit her first home run of the season. She went 2-for-4 with two RBI. McGraw went 2-for-4 with one RBI. 
 
Freshman Loren Carrazzone pitched 3.1 innings and struck out two batters in the contest.
