The Ithaca College softball team fell to Eastern Connecticut State by a score of 4-3 in the first game of the NCAA Northeast Regional.
ECSU scored one run in the top of the first, but the Bombers took the lead in the bottom of the second with two runs of their own. Ithaca added one run in the bottom of the third, but ECSU scored two runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game.Â

In the top of the seventh, ECSU scored one run to take the 4-3 lead.Â

Freshman Nicole Fava went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Senior Margo McGowan and junior Julie McGraw went 2-for-4 during the contest.Â

Sophomore Robin Bimson gave up 11 hits and had two strikeouts.Â
