Ithaca vs Eastern Connecticut State, April 25, 1998

The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against Eastern Connecticut State, winning the first contest 8-0 and the second game 9-0. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 8, E. Connecticut State 0
 
The Bombers jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after the second inning and added three more runs in the top of the fourth to secure the 8-0 victory in five innings. 
 
Freshman Laura Remia went 1-for-2 with two RBI and junior Julie McGraw went 1-for-2 with one RBI and three runs scored. 
 
Sophomore Robin Bimson pitched all five innings and struck out two batters while only allowing one hit. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 9, E. Connecticut State 0
 
Ithaca held Cazenovia to zero runs in the second game of the doubleheader. The Bombers scored three runs in the top of the first and one more in the top of the second. Ithaca added two more runs in the third and scored another three runs in the top of the fourth. 
 
Junior Cheryl Wah went 2-for-3 with three RBI and senior Marco McGowan went 2-for-3 with two RBI. 
 
Sophomore Christie Davis only allowed four hits and struck out four batters. She is now 10-2 on the season.
