The Ithaca College softball team defeated Division I Cornell University by a score of 5-1. With the win, the Bombers are 27-11 on the season.
The game was scoreless until the top of the fifth inning when Ithaca scored one run. The Bombers scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning to take a 4-0 lead, but the Big Red cut the lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Ithaca scored one final run in the top of the seventh.
Freshman Nicole Fava went 2-for-3 with two RBI and senior Margo McGowan went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Sophomore Christie Davis pitched all seven innings and allowed nine hits in the win.
