Ithaca vs Binghamton, 1998

The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against Division I Binghamton University, winning the first game 2-1 and the second game 4-2. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 2, Binghamton 1
 
The game was tied 1-1 headed into the seventh inning. With the bases loaded with two outs, sophomore Janine Lawler drove in the winning run. She finished the day going 1-for-3 with one RBI. 
 
Junior Julie McGraw went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Junior Cheryl Wah went 1-for-3 during the first game as well. 
 
Sophomore Robin Bimson pitched all seven innings and only gave up five hits and struck out two. She is now 9-3 on the season. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 4, Binghamton 2
 
The Bombers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead and Binghamton took the 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth. Ithaca tied the contest in the bottom of the fourth and the Bombers secured the win with two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. 
 
Freshman Laura Remia went 2-for-3 with three RBI as she hit her sixth home run of the season. Sophomore Christie Davis pitched the complete game and only allowed seven hits. 
 
With both wins, Ithaca is now 14-4 on the season.
