Ithaca vs RIT, 2000

The No. 10 Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against the Rochester Institute of Technology, winning the first game 2-0 and the second game 6-0.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third when Ithaca scored its first run. The Bombers added one more run in the bottom of the fourth to secure the 2-0 lead. 
 
Sophomore Kim Sebastiao hit her third home run of the season. She went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Junior Laura Remia went 2-for-3 with one RBI off her seventh double of the season. 
 
Senior Robin Bimson pitched a two-hitter and struck out three batters. Bimson recorded her second straight 20-win season. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 6, RIT 0
 
All six of the Bombers' runs came in the bottom of the third inning. With the second win, Ithaca extends its winning streak to four games. 
 
Sophomore Kristin Furdon hit her fifth double of the season as she went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Senior Kristin Muenzen went 2-for-3 with one RBI and freshman Kim Stephens went 1-for-1 with one RBI. 
 
Bimson pitched another complete game for the Bombers, allowing six hits and striking out three. Bimson won her 69th game of her career, which ties her for No. 25 on the Division III wins list.
