Ithaca vs Cortland, 2000

The No. 10 Ithaca College softball split its doubleheader with SUNY Cortland, winning the first game 4-0 and the second game 5-4. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 4, Cortland 0
 
Ithaca jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning and then scored the other two runs in the top of the third. 
 
Sophomore Kristin Furdon went 2-for-3 with all four RBI in the contest. Senior Janine Lawler and sophomore Mairin Dudek each had one hit, and junior Laura Remia went 3-for-3. 
 
Senior Robin Bimson pitched a two-hitter and recorded no walks during the first game. 
 
Game 2 | Cortland 5, Ithaca 4
 
Cortland went up 5-0 after three innings and the Bombers cut the lead to 5-2 in the top of the fourth inning. Ithaca added two more runs in the top of the fifth inning, but could not score any runs in the seventh to win the game. 
 
Senior Janine Lawler went 2-for-4 with one RBI and senior Kristin Muenzen went 1-for-4 with one RBI. 
 
Bimson gave up six hits and struck out three in the contest. She also went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
