LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The 13
th-ranked Ithaca College wrestling team capped what was a busy and challenging day at the NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals during the evening session on Friday when it faced No. 19 Wisconsin-Whitewater in the fourth and final dual of today's opening action. Unfortunately, the Bombers run in the nationally-competitive event came to an end against the War Hawks in a 24-12 defeat. Ithaca finishes the 2020 NWCA National Duals with a 2-2 record.

The Bombers had three grapplers take home victories in today's final dual. First-year
Travis Jones capped his impressive National Duals debut with his third fall of the day, besting Josiah Lynden just 1:35 into the opening period. Adding a second victory on the day was junior
Alec Corrao at 165-pounds, while sophomore
Eze Chukwuezi also finished off a 3-1 outing on the day with a 13-3 major decision over Alex Oruna at 184-pounds.

Notably, Ithaca had its lone remaining unbeaten grappler finally suffer a defeat in the dual. Junior

Ithaca returns to the mats next weekend when it heads to SUNY Oneonta for the 2020 ECWC Championships on Saturday, January 18. Start time is set for 9:00 a.m. The Bombers will be looking to defend a five-year winning streak in the event, which has not been held since the 2017-18 season due to a winter-storm cancellation last year.
