ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's lacrosse team has officially announced its plans for Saturday's final home date of the 2019 regular season. The Bombers will celebrate Senior Day, honoring the program's five graduating members in the Class of 2019, prior to an Alumni Reunion Game that will take the place of the team's originally scheduled meeting against Liberty League foe Bard.
Ithaca was originally scheduled to face the Raptors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday; however, Bard was forced to concede the contest. The result will be counted as a Liberty League victory for Ithaca, although it will not go down as an official victory for NCAA purposes.
To replace Saturday's game, Ithaca will take the field against returning alumni who will be in Ithaca for the program's annual alumni weekend festivities. Current and former Bombers will face each other in an inter-squad format with officials. Prior to action getting underway, the program will honors its senior members:
Conner Crosson,
Josh Della Puca,
Brendan King,
Owen Smith and
Will Witter in a pre-game ceremony on the field with their respective friends and family members. The ceremony will get underway at approximately 12:45-1:00 p.m. Make your plans to come out and celebrate IC's seniors and alumni in a day of competitive action at Higgins Stadium.
The Bombers will also be in action on Wednesday, April 10, this week when they face No. 2 RIT on the road at 7:00 p.m.
