ITHACA, N.Y. – On November 12, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced its Google Cloud Academic All-District recipients for NCAA Division III football and five members of the Ithaca College team were selected for District 3.
All five of Ithaca's student-athletes will now move onto the CoSIDA Academic All-America voting, which will be released on December 11.
Ithaca's recipients of the honor are senior
John Hadac and sophomores
Cade McDermott,
Brian Fallon,
Michael Roumes and
Andrew Testani.
Hadac, a captain and defensive end for the Bombers, holds a 3.56 GPA in health sciences and is a two-time all-district honoree. In 10 starts this season, Hadac has totaled 47 tackles (19 solo) with 13.0 tackles for loss for 56 and 7.5 sacks for 44 yards. He has also notched a forced fumble and recovery, to go along with 10 quarterback hits.
McDermott, a defensive back with a 3.47 GPA in business administration, has also started all 10 games in the secondary for the Bombers as a free safety. He has logged 40 tackles on the year, including 17 solo, with three breakups.
Fallon, IC's punter and a 3.84 student in the business administration program, moved from kicker to punter this season. He has booted 21 punts this year for a total of 777 yards for an average of 37.0 yards. Seven of his punts have been fair caught and three have traveled inside the 20-yard line. Fallon has also boomed two punts for 52 yards this year.
Roumes, another defensive back for the Bombers is a 3.44 student in clinical health studies. Roumes has started all 10 games as a corner and is fourth on the team in total tackles with 49 (25 solo) with 2.0 tackles for loss and a sack. He also has an interception, which was returned 70 yards for a touchdown, and has a forced and fumble recovery to his credit this season.
Testani, a television-radio major with a 3.56 GPA, has started all 10 games at left guard. He has been an anchor on the line that has guided Ithaca to 39.6 points per game, 454.2 yards (327.4 passing, 126.8 rushing) and 53.6-percent on third downs.
