CLINTON, N.Y. - The Ithaca College women's tennis team kicked off its final competition on the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday when it traveled to Clinton, N.Y., for a series of singles and doubles matches in the opening day of the Hamilton Invitational. It was a challenging beginning day for the Bombers on Saturday, as IC was only able secure two total victories on the day, securing one each in both singles and doubles. Despite the challenges, IC battled well and will continue to get quality reps for its youthful squad during Sunday's final day of action.

Ithaca secured one victory in both singles and doubles action on the day. Headlining the singles action was first-year player Sarah Kohberger who played a sharp match to earn the triumph for IC. Facing Hamilton's Nicole Papert, Kohberger secured a big break to gain some separation and carried that margin to an 8-5 victory. The doubles session was headlined by senior Brianna Ruback and sophomore Alexandra Dyszewski, who picked up an impressive 8-2 victory over Rochester's top tandem of Ruiz-Vega and Reinhart to close out the day's action.
