TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team fell to RPI, 202.00-98.00.

The Bombers opened up the day with a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay. The team of
Spencer Brownewell,
Andrew Mikhailichenko,
Nate Bartalo and
Stanley Zaneski raced to a time of 1:37.49. RPI's winning team was victorious with a time of 1:36.05.

IC's group of Timothy Hector,
Anthony Porto,
Matt Crysler and
Daniel Meyers finished fourth with a time of 1:40.22.

Sophomore
Dylan Haraden was the top IC finisher in the 1,000 freestyle, taking third place with a time of 10:31.78. First-year
Max Bridges finished in fourth place, racing to a time of 10:32.70 while
Holden Shatouhy came in fifth in 10:42.14.

In the 200 freestyle, Bartalo was the top finisher for Ithaca, racing to a time of 1:47.21 for second place. RPI's Trevor Maxfield was the victor, winning in 1:46.88.
Michael Sheehan came in fifth place with a time of 1:51.47.

Brownewell finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.90 to lead IC in that event. Hector was not far behind in third place, racing to a time of 54.44 while
Carter Matteson took fourth with a time of 56.57.

Mikhailichenko, a senior, was the top Ithaca finisher in the 100 breaststroke, racing to a time of 1:00.82. RPI's Jonathan Yang won the field with a time of 58.98 while Eric Liu took second in 1:00.58.

IC took fourth in the 200 butterfly as Crysler raced to a time of 2:01.88. Pat Daly finished in fifth with a time of 2:04.45.

Zaneski, a junior, finished in second place in the 50 freestyle after racing to a time of 21.79. He was edged by RPI's Graham Zola, who won in 21.17.

The 100 freestyle was similar, as Zola and Zaneski finished first and second, respectively. Zola won the field with a time of 47.63 while Zaneski took second in 49.07. Meyers finished in fourth place with a time of 50.12.

In the 200 backstroke, Brownewell was the top finisher for the Bombers, taking second in 1:59.94. Matteson finished in third place with a time of 2:03.16 while Haraden raced to a time of 2:05.63 for fourth place.

Mikhailichenko took third in the 200 breaststroke, racing to a time of 2:11.57. RPI's Liu won with a time of 2:11.21 while Yang came in second in 2:11.24.

The Engineers finished in the top three spots in the 500 freestyle, led by Matthew Youngbar who won in 4:50.46. IC's top finsiher was Haraden who took fourth with a time of 5:08.50.

In the 100 butterfly, Bartalo finished in third place, racing to a time of 51.92 while Crysler took fifth in 55.44.

In the final individual race of the day, the 200 IM, Mikhailichenko was the top finisher, taking fourth place in 2:03.34.
Augie Carlozzi raced to a time of 2:06.91 for fifth place.

The Bombers rounded out the swimming action with a second-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. The team of Zaneski, Brownewell, Porto and Bartalo finished in 3:14.71, coming in behind RPI which raced to a time of 3:12.81.

In diving, first-year
Ethan Godfrey won the 3-meter dive, racking up 259.10 points. Junior
Justin Moczynski took second place with a score of 235.40 while first-year
Theo Summerville finished in fourth place with 204.20 points.

Godfrey was victorious again in the 1-meter dive, winning with a score of 297.10. Moczynski finished in second with 275.80 points.

Ithaca is back in action next Saturday, November 2 at home against Cortland at 2 p.m.
