ITHACA, N.Y. – On Monday, the Liberty League announced its weekly award winners for the week of Oct. 14-Oct. 20 and Ithaca College was well-represented.

Two football players garnered weekly honors, as seniorÂ
Joe Germinerio was named Offensive Performer of the Week and first-year
Nicholas Bahamonde earned Special Teams Performer of the Week.

Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams were honored with multiple awards.

On the men's side, sophomore
Spencer Brownewell was named Swimmer of the Week while first-year
Ethan Godfrey earned Diver of the Week honors.

Ashley Warren picked up Swimmer of the Week accolades and
Jane Pfeufer earned the Rookie of the Week award.

Parley Hannan earned women's cross country Performer of the Week for the second consecutive week and the fifth time this season.

Senior
Joe Germinerio recorded his fourth straight 300-yard passing game on Saturday during Ithaca's 34-0 shutout win over Hobart. Germinerio threw for 337 yards on 27-of-37 passing with three touchdowns. He also ran for 45 yards on 10 carries.

Freshman
Nicholas Bahamonde went 2-for-2 in field goals and made all four extra points in Ithaca's 34-0 win over Hobart. Bahamonde connected on field goals of 32 and 30 yards to improve to 9-for-9 on the season. He also averaged 61.9 yards on kickoffs with two touchbacks.

Ed Longest played a crucial role in Ithaca's 34-0 shutout win over Hobart on Saturday as he logged eight total tackles (three solo), to go along with 2.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks. The two sacks accounted for 13 lost yards for the Hobart offense.

Men's Swimming and Diving

Sophomore
Spencer Brownewell claimed two individual wins as well as a relay win on Saturday as Ithaca defeated Fredonia, Brockport and Buffalo State. He opened up his day with a win in the 50 backstroke, swimming to a time of 25.26. He followed that up with a 100 backstroke victory in 54.37 before closing out the day on the first-place 200 freestyle relay team which won in 1:32.04.

Ethan Godfrey had a solid weekend to open up his diving career at Ithaca against Fredonia, Brockport and Buffalo State. He won the 1-meter dive with a score of 287.40 and took second place in the 3-meter with 251.10 points.

Women's Swimming and Diving

Senior
Ashley Warren won three individual races as well as a relay as the Bombers defeated Fredonia, Brockport and Buffalo State to open the 2019-20 slate. She opened up the day with a team win in the 200 medley relay, claiming victory in 1:53.40. Warren then went on to win the 50 breaststroke in 33:56. She won her second race of the day - the 100 breaststroke - racing to a time of 1:11.82. Warren rounded out her stellar day with a first-place finish in the 100 IM, winning in 1:05.37.

Jane Pfeufer opened up her career at Ithaca with three individual wins on Saturday as the Bombers swept Fredonia, Brockport and Buffalo State. She won the 50 backstroke with a time of 28.25, more than one second faster than second place. She then claimed the 50 freestyle in 24.83 before rounding out the day win a 100 backstroke in 1:00.64, nearly two seconds faster than second place.

Women's Cross Country

Senior
Parley Hannan, the reigning USTFCCCA Athlete of the Week, once again proved to be one of the top in Division III as she won the individual title at the Connecticut College Invitational with a time of 20:52.2, which was 15 seconds faster than the runner-up from MIT, Izzi Gengaro, who finished in 21:07.0. Parley's time set a new meet and course record.

Morgan Mullen continued to be the engine that powered IC's attack in the Bombers 1-1 week in league action. She amassed five points on two goals and one assist over the overtime loss to Skidmore and the runaway 5-2 win at home against St. Lawrence.

Mullen scored a big opening-quarter goal in IC's first game of the week at Skidmore in a battle for first-place in the league standings. Mullen then netted a goal and recorded an assist to help the Bombers past St. Lawrence, 5-2.

Victoria Sestito began the week with a one-assist effort in the heartbreaking overtime loss at Skidmore. She provided the shot, which was deflected in by first-year
Brianna Lennon which briefly lifted IC to a 2-0 lead over the Thoroughbreds.

Sestito tallied her first career goal to open the scoring on Sunday against St. Lawrence, while she added her team-leading sixth assist on Ithaca's second goal of the day.

Men's Soccer

Kevin Turi scored two goals this weekend as the Bombers finished 1-0-1 in Liberty League play. He scored the first of three straight goals for Ithaca on a pass from
Tom Dillmann, en route to the Bombers 3-2 win over Union. He then went on to score the lone Ithaca goal on a penalty kick on Saturday as IC battled to a 1-1 draw with Skidmore.

Sara Jakobsze notched her conference-leading sixth shutout of the year on Friday afternoon in the Bombers 1-0 win over Union. The senior made six saves on the day en route to the victory. She then finished with a combined shutout in IC's 4-0 win over Skidmore on Saturday afternoon, finishing with one save.

Sophomore
Jordyn Lyn Hayashi continued to deliver big performances for the Bombers, as the team posted a 1-2 record this past weekend against top-flight competition at the Midwest Invitational, hosted by Calvin College. She finished the weekend with 59 digs across the three matches (5.9 per set), while she also added one ace and six assists.

She began the trip with a career-high 30 digs in Ithaca's four-set defeat to No. 20 Hope. Hayashi was one of the lone bright spots during the night-cap against Calvin. She amassed 17 digs in the three-set defeat against the second-ranked Knights. Hayashi capped the weekend on Saturday with a match-high 12 digs in the three-set win over Elmhurst.
