ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team edge Alfred University, 183-113, on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman
Spencer Brownewell and junior
Andrew Mikhailichenko each posted two first-place finishes on the day to lead the Bombers, while
Jake Hewitt,
Nate Bartalo and
Stanley Zaneski also notched wins.

Swimming
Â
Ithaca started out strong, as the team of Brownewell, Mikhailichenko, Bartalo and Zaneski took first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:37.59.

In the first individual race of the day, the 1,000 freestyle,
Dylan Haraden was the top IC finisher, taking second place with a time of 10:29.25. Pat Daly finished in third with a time of 10:36.09 while
Arthur Bances took fourth in 10:49.14 and Reilly Kleinhen finished fifth with a time of 10:50.19.

Brownewell picked up his first win of the day in the 200 freestyle, racing to a time of 1:48.86. The Bombers swept the top four places, as Mikhailichneko took second in 1:49.29 while Zaneski took third with a time of 1:49.59 and Dan Meyers finished fourth in 1:49.94.

Bradley Keith was the top finisher for IC in the 100 backstroke, finishing in second place with a time of 55.74. Haradan came in third with a time of 56.61 while Timothy Hector took fourth in 57.27.

In the 100 breaststroke,
John Mosier was the top Bombers' finisher, taking second in 1:04.27.
Augie Carlozzi came in third place after swimming to a time of 1:06.31.

Hewitt notched a win in the 200 butterfly, racing to a time of 1:57.61 to lead the pack of fourth IC swimmers. Daly finished in second place with a time of 2:03.02, while
Jack Gerken finished third in 2:07.84 and
Michael Sheehan took fourth with a time of 2:08.71.

Ithaca picked up another win in the 50 freestyle, as Bartalo was the top swimmer with a time of 21.87.
Kellen Scanlan finished in second place with a time of 22.49 while Hector took fourth in 22.83.

The Bombers took the top two spots in the 100 freestyle, led by Zaneski's first-place finish in 48.80. Meyers came in second after swimming to a time of 49.81.

Brownewell was the top finisher in the 200 backstroke, taking second place behind Alfred's Andrew Edmister, with a time of 1:56.92. Keith finished in third place after swimming to a time of 2:03.59.

Mikhailichenko picked up his first win of the day in the 100 breaststroke, leading the field with a time of 2:11.89. Carlozzi finished in third place with a time of 2:20.95, while Mosier took fourth in 2:22.70.

The Bombers took second, third, fourth and fifth in the 500 freestyle.
Nick Bonnabeau was the top finisher for IC, taking second place with a time of 5:06.34. Haraden took third in 5:06.99 while Sheehan finished fourth with a time of 5:07.29. Meyers rounded out the top five with a time of 5:11.17.

Brownewell added his second first-place finish of the day in the 100 butterfly, racing to a time of 53.45, winning by more than two seconds.

Mikhailichenko then picked up his second win of the day in the 400 IM, after swimming to a time of 4:17.14. Hewitt took second with a time of 4:18.10.

The Bombers rounded out the day with a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay. Zaneski, Meyers, Scanlan and Bartalo raced to a time of 1:28.14 to claim victory for IC.

Diving
Â
Ithaca had just one diver on the three-meter against the Saxons. Sophomore
Justin Moczynski finished in second place on the board with a score of 257.85. Alfred's Chris Deaver won the field with a score of 277.70.

Moczynski followed that up with a win in the one-meter, notching a score of 277.00, edging out Deaver who took second.
Benjamin Pesco finished in fifth place with a score of 169.85.

Ithaca's divers are back in action tomorrow at the Dick Comanzo Invite in the Athletics and Events Center. The Bombers' full team rounds out dual meet action next Saturday, February 2 with at Union.
