About Rumble & Tumble
Over recent years, events featuring simultaneous wrestling and gymnastics meets have become popular throughout collegiate sports. Although much of the history of this type of event is unconfirmed, it is believed that Boise State was the originator of the idea, hosting a side-by-side gymnastics and wrestling meet almost every season dating back to 2003. Coincidentally, the Broncos' inaugural meet also was held on Valentine's Day, as does this year's meet between Ithaca and SUNY Cortland. As this type of event has gained widespread popularity over the years, it has often times been dubbed as "Beauty and the Beast Meet". Ithaca has renamed the event the "Rumble & Tumble at the Hill" for the 2018 season, which will be the first time Ithaca has hosted a side-by-side simultaneous wrestling and gymnastics meets in its history.
