SEASON STATS: ITHACA  | RIT | ST. LAWRENCE | WILLIAM SMITH

ITHACA, N.Y.
– On Saturday evening, the No. 2 seed Ithaca College women's soccer team heads to Geneva to face No. 3 seed RIT in the semifinal round of the Liberty League Championship.

After receiving a bye in the first round, the Bombers will take on RIT – at William Smith – for a chance to play in their first-ever Liberty League final on Sunday afternoon since joining the league in 2017.

Ithaca locked up the No. 2 spot in the tournament with last Saturday's 3-0 victory over Vassar in which sophomore Alex Epifani netted two goals.

The Bombers currently sit at 13-2-2 overall with a 7-2-0 mark in the conference and have won five of their last six games. IC opened up the season with 10-straight games without a loss, which was the best start since 2012 when the team won 12 games in a row.

Offensive Leaders

Epifani has proved to be an offensive powerhouse for the Bombers during her sophomore campaign, leading both the team and conference in several categories.

Her 25 points on nine goals and seven assists are all tops for IC and in the Liberty League. She also ranks among the leaders in shots (52) and game-winning goals (5).

Epifani has earned recognition in the Liberty League weekly awards for five of the last six weeks, including two Offensive Performer of the Week nods. She has also earned a spot on the weekly honor roll three times.

Junior Gabriella Mihale has been an important scoring option for the Bombers this season, scoring five goals and adding 2 assists for 12 points. Her five goals currently ranks eighth in the Liberty League.

Fellow junior Ally Christman has also been productive on the offensive end, scoring two goals and notching five assists, which is second on the team and in the conference behind Epifani.

Both senior Sarah Pirnie and first-year Stella Campodonico have also added three goals for the Bombers.

Ithaca Against Tournament Field

The Bombers only two losses this season have been against Liberty League opponents. IC's first loss of the season was 4-0 decision to William Smith on October 3. Most recently, the Bombers lost to RIT, 2-1, on October 24.

Ithaca topped No. 4 seed St. Lawrence, 2-0, on September 29. St. Lawrence will play William Smith in the semifinal round on Saturday at 4:30 pm.

Scouting No. 3 RIT

The Tigers are coming off a 3-2 overtime victory over Vassar in the first round of the Liberty League Tournament on Tuesday afternoon. After falling behind, 2-0, to the Brewers, RIT went on to score two goal in the final 3:08 to tie things up and force the extra period.

Rebecca Hext scored the first goal for RIT with just 3:08 left before Marla Roberts netted the tying goal with just 1:12 left in regulation. The Tigers ultimately won just 1:28 into overtime on an Abbey Saia goal on a pass from Lauren Chester.

The Tigers are currently 11-4-2 on the season and finished the regular-season with a 5-2-2 Liberty League record. RIT opened up the conference slate with back-to-back losses to Vassar and William Smith, and have not lost a conference game since.
