TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team finished in second place overall on Saturday at the Henry Kumpf Invitational, hosted by RPI.

The Bombers tallied 478 total points to take second, behind RPI which finished in first with 663 points.
Â
IC lost to just one team on the day, the host team RPI, by a score of 167.0-76.0. The Bombers defeated Clarkson 156.0-87.0, Skidmore 182.0-59.0 and Cortland 144.0-98.0.

The Bombers started the day off right, winning the first race – the 400 yard medley relay. The team of
Bradley Keith,
Andrew Mikhailichenko,
Nate Bartalo and
Kellen Scanlan swam to a time of 3:38.35 to win the race and earn 40 points for IC.

Ithaca's team of
Liam Maginnis,
John Mosier,
Nick Bonnabeau and
Aidan DeBolt finished in seven place to earn 24 points after swimming to a time of 3:52.91.

In the 1000 yard freestyle,
Jake Hewitt was the top Bombers' finisher, taking second place with a time of 10:23.38. Pat Daly was right behind him in third place, swimming to a time of 10:36.10.

Dan Meyers was the top finisher for IC in the 200 yard freestyle, taking fifth place with a time fo 1:52.27. Mosier finished in sixth place after swimming to a time of 1:52.40 while Maginnis took ninth place with a time of 1:53.82.

Scanlan finished in sixth place for the Bombers in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.92 while DeBolt took ninth with a time of 23.53.

In the 200 yard IM, Mikhailichenko was the top Bombers' finisher, taking third place with a time of 2:02.20, earning 16 points for IC.

Marshhall Hendlin also earned points for Ithaca with a fifth-place finish after swimming to a time of 2:04.84.
Augie Carlozzi took seven place with a time of 2:05.06.

Hewitt won the 200 yard butterfly for the Bombers, swimming to a time of 1:58.29 to earn 20 points. Daly finished the race in seventh with a time of 2:07.54.

In the 100 yard freestyle, Bartalo was the top IC finisher, taking fourth with a time of 49.48. Meyers finished in eighth after swimming to a time of 50.99 while Bonnabeau finished in 11
th with at me of 52.01.

Hendlin finished in third place for IC in the 200 yard backstroke, swimming to a time of 2:03.98. Keith and Maginnis finished in eighth and ninth places, respectively. Keith took eighth after swimming to a time of 2:09.10 while Maginnis finished in ninth with a time of 2:11.88.

Hewitt continued his successful day, taking second place in the 500 yard freestyle with a final time of 5:04.02.

Mikhailichenko captured a win of his own in the 200 yard breaststroke, finishing in first place after swimming to a time of 2:09.77.

Carlozzi finished in sixth place with a time of 2:20.57 while Mosier took ningth with a time of 2:23.31.

In the final race of the day – the 400 yard freestyle relay – Ithaca's team of Meyers, Hendlin, Scanlan and Bartalo finished in third place with a time of 3:20.42.

The team of Bonnabeau, DeBolt, Keith and Carlozzi took seventh place after swimming to a time of 3:30.24.

In diving action,
Justin Moczynski finished in third in the three meter dive for the Bombers after tallying a total of 250.80 points.
Â
Brian Coburn took ninth with a score of 213.85 and
Benjamin Pesco finished in 12
th with 145.90 points.

Moczynski was also the top IC finisher in the one meter dive, taking fourth place with a total score of 234.85. Coburn took 10
th place overall with a score of 154.70 and Pesco finished in 12
th with a score of 148.55.

The Bombers are back in action next Saturday at Alfred. Next Sunday, IC will host the Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational which is slated to start at 10 a.m.
