ALL-TIME SERIES:

Ithaca leads the all-time series, which dates back to 1950, over Brockport, 23-10-2. Brockport has won each of the past two meetings by a combined score of 69-45. There have been five shutouts in the series, including both ties in 1952 and 1954. Brockport has blanked IC twice, 19-0 (1951) and 21-0 (2002), while the Bombers have returned the favor once in 1999, 10-0. The largest margin of victory in the series came by way of a 63-14 win for Ithaca in 1980.

TOUGH NON-CONFERENCE SLATE:

With Saturday's matchup, the Bombers will have faced two ranked opponents in Alfred and Brockport. The Saxons are ranked No. 21 in the nation by D3football.com, as they were last week at Butterfield Stadium, and the Golden Eagles entered this week's poll at No. 25 after downing Hobart, 34-20, last Saturday.

24132GLADNEY SETS THE TONE:

Sophomore wide receiver Will Gladney established himself as a top target for Ithaca senior quarterback Adam Fron. The Owego, N.Y. native was caught 10 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown against Alfred. In addition, Gladney had a 25-yard completion to sophomore Zach Raymond on the Bombers' first offensive drive.

DUAL THREAT:

Fron proved against Alfred that he is a force both in the air and on the ground. Fron threw for 156 yards and a touchdown and picked up 95 yards rushing, highlighted by a 52-yard scamper for a score. He came up just five yards shy from becoming the first Ithaca quarterback to rush for a 100 yards in a game since Joe Fitzgerald accomplished that feat in 1992 against American International.

WHAT BROWN CAN DO FOR YOU:

The Bombers were without senior captain running back Tristian Brown against Alfred, due to an injury. Brown, who has rushed for 1,862 career yards, is expected to return against the Golden Eagles.

SHUTTING DOWN THE RUN:

The Ithaca defense held the Saxons to 2.7 yards per rushing attempt last Saturday. The year prior, Alfred averaged 4.5 yards per carry and amassed 162 total rushing yards against the Bombers.

JR HUNGRY FOR MORE:

Senior wide receiver JR Zazzara had one of his top performances last year against the Golden Eagles. Zazzara caught three passes of 40-plus yards, including 48-yard and 43-yard touchdown receptions from Wolfgang Shafer. He finished the day with five catches for 170 yards, averaging 34.0 yards per reception.

SCOUTING NO. 25 BROCKPORT:

After downing No. 14 Hobart, 34-20, in Week One, the Golden Eagles entered D3footabll.com's polls at the No. 25 slot.  The Golden Eagles gained 603 yards of total offense, which was the sixth most all of DIII. Brockport averaged 7.44 yards per play, which ranked 18th in the nation. It is the first time that Brockport has been ranked since 2012.

HIGH-POWERED OFFENSE:

Brockport returning quarterback Joe Germinerio threw for 360 yards last week against Hobart, the highest of any quarterback in the Empire 8. The Golden Eagles also gained a net of 243 yards on the ground against the Statesmen, behind 169 rushing yards from junior running back Justin Morrison.
