Pennington, N.J. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team continued its non-conference non-traditional season on Saturday afternoon, as it traveled south to face The College of New Jersey at the Mercer County Tennis Courts. The Bombers fell to 13-5 on the year with a 7-2 decision against the Lions.
 
Ithaca pulled out one victory both singles and doubles in the contest against TCNJ. Seenior Haley Kusak and sophomore Caroline Dunn collected one point against the Lions' top tandem of Maddy Stoner and Brittany Reedman in the top flight. The win pulled IC within one team point, as TCNJ led 2-1 in the match through the three doubles bouts.
 
The win was a historic one for Kusak, who moved into a tie for the top spot on the program's all-time list for career doubles victories. The triumph was Kusak's 66^th of her career, tying Cristina Nunez '14 for first on the career doubles win chart.


The Bombers lone singles win came in the third flight, as Dunn was able to outlast Katie Buchbinder in a three-set thriller. Dunn won the opening set 7-5, but struggled in the second frame falling 2-6. The bout went to a third-set, where again things went down to the wire in a hard-fought match. IC's talented sophomore ended up taking the decisive set and the team point with an 11-9 win in the tiebreak to take the final set 7-6.
