Men's Swimming and Diving Topped by RPI

RESULTS

TROY, N.Y.
– The Ithaca men's swimming and diving team fell to RPI on Saturday, 191.5-106.5.
 
The Bombers had several individual first-place finishes as well as one relay first-place finish.
 
The team of Stanley Zaneski, Dan Meyers, Jake Hewitt and Nate Bartolo took first in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:22.32.
 
Ithaca also took second place in the 400 yard freestyle relay. Kevin Shin, Marshall Hendlin, Aidan DeBold and Nick Bonnabeau raced to a time of 3:27.77.
 
Individually, Hewitt won the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:00.29. Pat Daly also earned a point for the Bombers, taking fifth place with a time of 2:12.40.
 
Andrew Mikhailichenko finished first in the 200 yard breaststroke with a final time of 2:09.74. Auggi Carlozzi took fifth with a time of 2:27.51.
 
Mikhailichenko also tied for first place in the 100 yard breaststroke. Both he and RPI's Mark Mulder swam to a time of 59.83 to split the first-place points. Andrew Skinner finished in fifth place with a time of 1:07.30.
 
Bartolo also took home a first place finish in the 100 yard butterfly after racing to a time of 53.15. Bonnabeau finished in fifth place for the Bombers with a time of 57.16.
 
Ithaca took second in the 200 yard medley relay. The team of Mikhailichenko, Bartalo, Zaneski and Bradley Keith raced to a time of 1:37.41.
 
Hewitt also took second place in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:22.18. Daly also placed for the Bombers, taking fifth with a time of 11:04.56.
 
In the 200 yard freestyle, Meyers was the top finisher for the Bombers, taking fourth place after swimming to a time of 1:51.82. John Mosier took fifth place with a time of 1:55.30.
 
Shin was the top Ithaca finisher in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 56.95. Keith came in fourth after swimming to a time of 57.11.
 
In the 50 yard freestyle, Zaneski took second place with a time of 22.27, which was the highest finish for a Bomber. Bonnabeau took fifth with a time of 23.41.
 
Bartolo was the top Ithaca finisher in the 100 yard freestyle after swimming to a time of 48.65. Meyers finished in fourth place with a time of 50.16.
 
Hendlin took third place in the 200 yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 2:08.33. Keith finished fourth with a time of 2:08.87 while Shin took fifth with a time of 2:11.10.
 
In the 500 yard freestyle, Hewitt was the top finisher for the Bombers, taking third with a time of 5:06.00. Booway Bikales finished in fifth with a time of 5:24.43.
 
Mikhailichenko took second in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:02.08. Carlozzi swam to a time of 2:10.06, which was good for fifth.
 
In diving action, Justin Moczynski finished second in the three meter dive with a score of 220.25. Brian Coburn finished in fifth place with a score of 170.60.
 
In the one meter dive, Moczynski also took second place with a score of 220.85 while Coburn finished in fourth place with 175.25 points.
 
The Bombers are back in action on Friday, November 3 when they host SUNY Cortland at 5 p.m.
