CLINTON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's soccer team had its three-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday as the Bombers fell to Hamilton College, 5-1, in a non-conference match at Love Field.  With the loss, Ithaca slides to 3-4-0 while the Continentals improved to 3-2-0 with the win.

Ithaca found itself trailing in the eighth minute after the Continentals delivered a strike into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.  Hamilton would increase its advantage as play continued with goals in the 33rd and 43rd minutes to hold a 3-0 lead heading into the break.

The Continentals struck again just over two minutes into the second half to earn a 4-0 edge in the 48th minute.

In the 80th minute, Ithaca tallied its only goal of the contest as Zachary Lichtman scored his first goal of the season to make it a 4-1 game, but Hamilton would answer in the 84th minute with its fifth goal of the game en route to the 5-1 win.

Ithaca was credited with eight shots overall including five on goal.  Alexander Brosnihan led the team with three shots while Sam Factor, Justin Pintak, Christian Shkreli, Jason Hannigan and Lichtman each had one.

Zach Jacobsen was saddled with the loss in net and moved to 3-3-0 overall after making six saves in 90 minutes of action.

Ithaca will look to get back on the right track at 3 p.m. on Saturday when it steps back into conference play against Nazareth at Carp Wood Field.
