                     ROCHESTER, N.Y.  — The Ithaca College women's tennis team fell to regionally-ranked University of Rochester 9-0 Saturday afternoon at the Goergen Athletic Center.
 
Ithaca (14-4) fell for just the fourth time in 18 matches during the 2015-16 season. The Bombers, the 11-time champions of the Empire 8 conference, did not win a set against the Yellowjackets (4-5), ranked 17th in the regional rankings.
 
The closest match of the day came at first singles, where junior 
Haley Kusak fell to Christine Ho by a score of 6-4, 7-6 (7-4 tiebreaker) in first singles.
 
Senior 
Marni Blumenthal dropped a 6-3, 6-2 decision to Camila Garcia at the second flight, while freshman 
Caroline Dunn lost to Molly Godman 6-2, 7-5 in third singles action.
 
Freshman 
Shayna Ginster fell to Alex Wolkoff 6-4, 6-0 in the fourth flight, classmate 
Kathryn Shaffer dropped a 6-3, 6-2 decision to Lauren Zickar in fifth singles action, and junior 
Jodi Grosberg lost 6-0, 6-1 to Darby McCall in sixth singles.
 
Rochester also swept the three doubles matches as Ithaca managed to win only four games over the three flights.
 
The Bombers travel to SUNY New Paltz for a 3 p.m. clash Friday afternoon.
