ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's lacrosse team will host an Empire 8 semifinal game Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Stevens Institute of Technology. Ithaca finished second in the Empire 8 standings and Stevens was third. The winner of Wednesday's semifinal advances to the championship game Saturday, against either Nazareth or St. John Fisher.

Ticket prices for Wednesday's game are $5 for adults, $2 for students, and fans ages 12 and under will be admitted free. Ithaca College students with identification will be admitted free of charge.

Ithaca is ranked 17th in the latest national polls by both the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and Lax Magazine.com. Ithaca and Stevens met in the final game of the regular season, with Ithaca winning 16-12 at Stevens.

The Empire 8 men's lacrosse tournament began in 2004 and Ithaca has qualified for the tournament all 12 years of its existence, including 2015. Ithaca won the conference championship in 2008 and 2014.
The champion of the Empire 8 tournament receives automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championships. The NCAA tournament field and bracket will be announced Sunday night, May 3.
