Box Score 2 ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College baseball team fell to St. John Fisher in a doubleheader on Saturday at Freeman Field by scores of 6-3 and 2-0. Ithaca is now 12-12 on the season, while Fisher improves to 17-16.
Game One: Fisher 6, Ithaca 3Ithaca put together a two-out rally in the bottom of the first to score a run on back-to-back doubles from senior

Stephen Yanchus.
The Bombers added two more runs in the bottom of the second on two hits and a squeeze to take a 3-0 lead. Junior
Cameron Oathout started things off with a walk and then freshman Domenic Boresta and senior
Cooper Belyea followed with line drive singles. Oathout scored on Belyea's single and Boresta crossed on a squeeze. Sophomore
Josh Savacool picked up the run batted in on the squeeze.
Fisher got one run back on a sacrifice fly in the third after a double moved two runners into scoring position. The Cardinals tied the game up at 3-3 in the top of the fifth on three hits, including a triple and double.
In the top of the sixth, Fisher scored twice to take a 5-3 advantage on a two-RBI single. The inning ended as the Cardinals' hitter tried to move up on a throw home, but was gunned out by Belyea at second base.
Two errors by Ithaca in the top of the seventh allowed Fisher to increase its lead to 6-3, and the eventual final score.
Senior
Andrew Sanders was dealt the loss in 5.2 innings pitched. Sanders gave up seven hits and five earned runs with two strikeouts. Classmate
Jimmy Wagner retired the final out of the sixth before fellow senior
Zach Dickstein tossed the final inning.
Thompson recorded two doubles in a 2-for-4 effort at the plate with a run scored. Yanchus went 1-for-4 with a double and RBI. Boresta stole a base to go along with a run scored and single.
Game Two: Fisher 2, Ithaca 0In the night cap, runs came at a premium as Ithaca's junior
Benji Parkes and Fisher's Marc Iseneker were locked in a pitcher's duel throughout the contest.
Parkes struck out a career-high 10 batters over eight innings to suffer a tough loss. He allowed 10 hits with two walks and two earned runs in 108 pitches. Iseneker threw a complete game two-hitter with 10 strikeouts and six walks.
Junior
Ryan Contegni threw a perfect ninth inning for the Bombers.
Ithaca was held hitless through the first three innings of the game until Thompson stroked a lead-off double in the bottom of the fourth. Thompson would move up to third after a walk and sacrifice bunt, but was left stranded to keep the contest scoreless.
The Bombers once again put two runners in scoring position in the fifth, but could not push a run across.
Fisher plated the first run in the night cap with a two-out double down the left field line in the sixth and  added one more in the eighth to complete the sweep.
Ithaca and Fisher will conclude the three-game set tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Freeman Field. Prior to the game, Ithaca's 10 seniors will be honored for their contributions to Bombers baseball over the past four seasons.
