ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College women's tennis team won all nine matches in a 9-0 victory over Houghton on Saturday at the Wheeler Tennis Courts. Ithaca improved to 5-0 on the season and 4-0 in Empire 8 matches. Houghton fell to 2-8 overall and 0-6 in the conference. It was just the second time this season that Houghton was shut out by a conference opponent.

The Bombers dominated the doubles matches, as the three Ithaca tandems dropped just three total games. Haley Kusak and Carly Siegel were 8-0 winners at first doubles. Allison Vizgaitis and Alyssa Steinweis won 8-1 at second doubles and Kelly Fishback teamed with Maddie Overholt to win 8-2 at third doubles. Ithaca won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Fishback dropped a first-set tiebreaker, but won the second set in a tiebreak and then won the super-breaker third set 10-2.

Ithaca returns to action Saturday when the Bombers travel to Utica.
