ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College women's tennis team defeated Alfred 9-0 on Thursday evening in an Empire 8 dual match at Glazer Arena. Ithaca is off to a perfect 3-0 start in dual matches and hasn't dropped a single set this season in dual action.

The doubles teams of Marni Blumenthal and Allison Young along with Alyssa Steinweis and Allison Vizgaitis won their matches by 8-0 sxcores. Carly Siegel and Cristina Nunez added shutout victories in singles play, with Siegel winning 6-0, 6-0 at fifth singles and Nunez doing the same at first singles.

Ithaca continues Empire 8 play Saturday at home against Nazareth, beginning at noon.
