SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College softball team added two more wins to its total this season, with a 7-1 victory over Union and a dramatic 6-4 win over Plattsburgh as
Jennifer Biondi hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Bombers to the victory. Both games were played at Union's Alexander Field. With the wins, Ithaca improved to 23-13 on the season. The Bombers are ranked fourth in the Northeast Region in the latest NCAA Regional Rankings, which are determined using the same process used to select at-large teams for the NCAA Division III Softball Championships.

The Bombers took the lead in the third inning on an RBI double by
Francesca Busa to bring home
Casey Gavin. Ithaca extended its lead in the sixth with two more runs courtesy of back-to-back doubles by
Sydney Folk and
Jennifer Biondi, and an RBI hit later in the inning by
Rachel Dell'Orto. Ithaca added four insurance runs in the seventh inning on four hits.
Sam Bender earned the complete-game victory in the circle as she allowed just one run over seven innings. The Bomber defense accounted for all 21 outs, as there were no strikeouts, and Ithaca didn't commit an error.
Busa, Folk and Dell'Orto had two hits each. Dell'Orto had two RBIs and seven different players scored a run for the Bombers.

Ithaca trailed 4-3 headed to the bottom of the seventh inning when
Julianne Vincent reached on an error to start the inning and
Sydney Folk singled to put two runners on base.
Jennifer Biondi followed with a home run to left field to give the Bombers the victory.
Laura Quicker picked up the victory in the circle as she pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just three hits and no walks with two strikeouts.
Allison Macari started and had two strikeouts. All four of Plattsburgh's runs came in a rally in the top of the fourth inning on a two-run double and two-run homer.
The Bombers started the game strongly with three runs in the bottom of the first as the first four batters all reached on singles and two runs came across the plate. After another single by
Rachel Dell'Orto,
Casey Gavin walked with the bases loaded to bring in Ithaca's third run.
Folk, Biondi and Dell'Orto all had two hits in the game. Vincent and Folk each scored two runs in the contest, and Biondi had four RBIs.
