ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's lacrosse team (11-4, 5-1 Empire 8) upended visiting Elmira (1-11, 0-6 Empire 8), 22-2, Wednesday afternoon at Higgins Stadium.
Twelve Bombers tallied goals as Ithaca recorded its fourth consecutive victory to improve to 5-1 in league action. Ithaca powered to a 5-0 lead in the first and held a 10-0 margin at the half. Ithaca owned a 16-0 lead at 7:06 of the third. In the third, the Bombers scored nine goals, while the Soaring Eagles netted both of their scores. Ithaca added three in the final frame.

Steve Danylyshyn tallied a career- and game-best four goals, while junior
Jake Long and freshman
David Grimaldi collected hat tricks. Grimaldi's trio was served to be his first collegiate scores. Juniors

James Manilla each scored twice.
Ten players were credited with assists. Manilla, junior
Pat Slawta and senior
Barry Beranek dished out two each with Beranek's setting a career-high. Henne won 9 of 11 faceoffs and had a game-high six ground balls. Danylyshyn and Manilla each scooped up four.
Freshman
Scott Sidnam made eight stops in 45 minutes in goal and senior
Andrew Landsman made three saves during the final 15.
Ithaca outshot Elmira, 41-27, held a 49-30 gap in ground balls and won 18 of 26 faceoffs.
The Bombers wrap up regular-season play Saturday, April 27 at Stevens at 2 p.m.
