After falling behind 1-0 in the top half of the first inning the Bombers answered with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Sophomore Christian Brown singled down the left field line to start the inning and advanced to third on a throwing error by the left fielder. Two batters later, Tim Henry singled to left field, driving in Brown and tying the score.

The score remained tied until the home half of the fourth inning when junior Colby Gee and senior Corey Caswell both singled to start the inning. Kevin Primm then used a sacrifice bunt to advance both of the runners. Gee later scored on a sacrifice fly to center field off the bat of Matt Connolly.

The Cardinals tied the score in the top half of the sixth; however the Bombers would push a run across in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure the win in walk-off fashion. Matt Connolly singled to start the inning and advanced to second on a bunt by Luke Stark. Connolly then stole third. The next batter, Christian Brown, reached on a throwing error by the third baseman that also scored Connolly and secured the win for the Bombers.

John Prendergast pitched a complete game for Ithaca, out-dueling the opposing pitcher and moving to 7-0 on the season. He allowed just two runs on seven hits, and did not walk a batter.
