ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College softball team (16-8, 6-2 Empire 8) claimed a pair of Empire 8 victories from Nazareth (5-15, 3-7 Empire 8) Sunday afternoon at Kostrinsky Field. The Bombers blanked the Golden Flyers 6-0 in the first, before defeating Nazareth 5-1 in the second. The Bombers return to action on Tuesday, April 16 hosting Oneonta for a double header at 3 p.m.

The Bombers took an early 3-0 lead after the first and added another three in the fifth to blank the Golden Flyers, 6-0, in the first of two.

Rachel Dell'Orto single up the middle brought home Biondi. Ithaca added three with two outs in the fifth. Gavin stole second after reaching on a Golden Flyer error. A Folk double to left center brought in Gavin. Biondi got her second hit of the day with a single to send Folk home. Another Nazareth error resulted in Biondi scoring the Bombers' last of the day.

Game two was tight early, with Ithaca scoring one in the bottom of the first – a score that stood for four innings. The Bombers added insurance runs in the fifth and sixth before the Golden Flyers tallied their lone run of the day in the final frame.
Folk brought Biondi home from third base with a double in the first. The bases were loaded on back-to-back at bats for the Bombers, but a fly out to center field ended the inning. Like the first, Biondi was walked to open Ithaca's scoring drive in the fifth. Folk stepped to the plate to crush a home run deep into left field for a 3-0 lead. In the sixth, Biondi singled before stealing second and returning home on a Fran Busa single to right field. Folk doubled to score Busa for a 5-0 margin. Back-to-back two-out doubles resulted in Nazareth's seventh-inning run.
Freshman
Allison Macari earned the win for the Bombers. She had three strike outs during the contest. Biondi scored three runs, while Folk tallied three hits and freshman catcher
