Pomona-Pitzer 16, Ithaca 11 | Box Score and Play-by-Play

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Bombers scored seven runs in the top of the fourth and three in the ninth, but it wasn't enough as Pomona-Pitzer totaled 14 of their 16 runs in the middle innings and won 16-11 Monday night. Both teams are receiving votes in the latest D3baseball.com poll.

The Bombers used eight hits to plate seven runs in the fourth, including two hits each in the inning by Tim Henry and Colby Gee, who each came around to score following their first hits. Corey Caswell, Max Addy and Andrew Turner had RBI singles in the fourth.

A bases-loaded walk by Cameron Oathout brought home Matt Connolly in the seventh, and Jared Amory had a two-run double in the ninth inning.

Ithaca used four pitchers in the game, as Andrew Sanders took the loss in relief.

LaVerne 3, Ithaca 2 | Box Score and Play-by-Play

WALNUT, Calif. - A run in the bottom of the ninth for LaVerne gave the Leopards a 3-2 win on Sunday afternoon. The Bombers scored twice in the top of the third inning, as both runners came in to cross on wild pitches. Brian Burns started the inning with a double and Tim Henry and Christian Brown followed with singles.

Those three hits helped account for Ithaca's seven hits in the game. Max Addy and Tim Henry had two hits each.
