Ithaca Men's Lacrosse Team Improves to 2-0 with 11-4 Victory over Drew

SEVERN, Md. – The Ithaca College men's lacrosse team (2-0) opened their spring break trip with an 11-4 victory over Drew (1-2) on Sunday afternoon during a neutral-site game in Severn, Md.

The Bombers, who had 53 shots during the game, had five tally scores. Junior Joe Perkins led the game with four goals, while senior Andrew Bruce, junior Jake Long and sophomore James Manilla each netted a pair. Junior Ryan Burns chipped in one goal and an assist. Long, freshman Michael Walker, sophomore Jimmy Ryan and junior Andrew Kristy each dished out one assist apiece.

Ithaca scooped up 43 ground balls during the contest. Junior Brandon Henne and sophomore Matt Greenblatt combined to win 12-of-18 faceoffs for the Bombers.

Freshman Scott Sidnam recorded the win with nine saves in goal.

The Bombers travel to Virginia Wesleyan for a 7 p.m. game on Tuesday, March 12.
