ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca women's tennis team (7-0, 6-0 Empire 8) remained undefeated in dual matches with a 7-2 win over Stevens (5-3, 3-2 Empire 8) on Sunday night at Glazer Arena. The Bombers swept the doubles matches and then won two of the first three singles matches to claim the necessary points for the dual victory.

The first doubles team of Cristina Nunez and Allison Young pulled out a very close victory that went to a tiebreak, and the second doubles team of Marni Blumenthal and Laurel Salladay won 9-7 to give Ithaca a huge lead after doubles play. Nunez and Carly Siegel earned the clinching team points in singles play, and fifth and sixth singles matches were played as eight-game pro sets since the team decision was already decided.

Ithaca hosts a doubleheader Saturday against St. John Fisher at 11 a.m. and Wells at 2 p.m.
