ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca men's soccer team (2-1-3) ran its unbeaten streak to five games with a 1-1 tie against Geneseo (1-3-1) Sunday night at Higgins Stadium. It's the longest run of games without a loss for Ithaca since the middle of the 2008 campaign, which is also the season in which the Bombers made their most recent NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Bombers got on the board in the 11th minute on the first career goal by freshman
Alex Lawless, who converted a cross from freshman
Blair Carney. Both players picked up their first collegiate points on the goal. Geneseo tied the game with seven minutes remaining in the second half and the teams played through overtime without a goal.

Sunday's game was the first of a four-game homestand for the Bombers, which continues Saturday with an Empire 8 game against Houghton at Carp Wood Field.
