ITHACA, N.Y. – The second-seeded Ithaca College men's lacrosse team (11-5, 6-1 Empire 8) is making its ninth straight appearance in the Empire 8 tournament and will host third-seeded Nazareth (8-8, 5-2 Empire 8) in a semifinal game Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The Golden Flyers hold a 19-8 all-time series advantage over the Bombers, though Ithaca most recently recorded an 11-5 victory on its home turf earlier this season. Nazareth is 4-0 in Empire 8 tournament play against the Bombers.
Ithaca owns a pair of Empire 8 crowns, while Nazareth has claimed seven since 2000.
Ithaca won four of its last five regular-season games to qualify for the playoffs and finished the Empire 8 season with a 6-1 record. The Bombers have had a winning record in the league all 12 years that the Empire 8 has existed.
Nazareth won its last two regular-season games after back-to-back losses to nationally-ranked opponents Cortland and Stevens Institute of Technology.
Wednesday's winner will advance to Saturday's league championship game, which will be held at the highest remaining seed. The other semifinal match is being played at top-seeded Stevens against fourth-seeded St. John Fisher.
